Call for Participating Groups
Help create a new Arirang for the centennial year.
The Korean American Dance Association is seeking dance groups to join Chunsa Arirang, a Korean traditional dance-drama embodying Korea’s independence movement and artistic heritage.
This production commemorates the 100th anniversary of Chunsa Na Woon-gyu’s film Arirang and the June 10 Independence Movement. Traditional dance, K-pop, and original choreography will meet on one stage as a living expression of memory, freedom, and community.

100 Years of Memory
Independence, cinema, and the enduring song of Arirang.
Chunsa Arirang honors two centennial histories from 1926: Na Woon-gyu’s landmark film Arirang and the June 10 Independence Movement. The production carries their spirit into a contemporary Los Angeles stage through dance, music, and collective creation.
Participating groups become part of a shared performance record—connecting generations, movement languages, and Korean cultural memory across the diaspora.
